Your report will comprehensively show your animal from all angles. With corresponding anatomical images shown side by side for comparison. In each instance we’re looking for thermal symmetry.
Any abnormal areas on the images will be detailed, as will any artefacts picked up by the thermographer.
You’ll receive your preference of a digital or hard copy report mailed to you the next day. Your Vet will be automatically emailed an electronic copy of the report.
We don't offer a diagnostic service, this is something that your Vet will be able to help you with. If your Vet is unfamiliar with Thermography, or the case is complex, interpretation services are available. We will gladly introduce your Vet to the leading specialists in the field of Infrared imaging, and they'll be able to liaise directly with Drs Turner, Henneman and Walsh in the USA.
A shortened sample thermography report is shown below. Whilst the anonymity of our client has been protected, the images are all from the same filly whose only clinical symptom was the loss of her extravagant and showy action whilst turned out in the field. The owner thought this may be due to two minor accidents the previous week (a kick above the knee and a lodged stone) which needed time to heal, but wanted to investigate this prior to setting off for a prestigious show the following day. Instead of travelling and competing, she received a visit from her Vet. With flexion tests a near impossibility in a 9 month old, the Thermal Images were used to pinpoint the site of the problem for further tests. X-rays showed a subchondral bone cyst at the exact spot where the greatest temperature was recorded. The filly's x-rays have now been passed to Liverpool Vet School for review.
